If you need to implement this many drastic changes to your operating system to make it pass the UNIX® 03-certification tests, you’re really not UNIX® 03-compliant. Let me be very clear that this is not some sort of “gotcha!”, scandal, or “-gate”; UNIX-certification for macOS is not some sort of diabolical marketing scheme devised by C-level executives at Apple, trying to lure unsuspecting customers into buying Macs because they’re UNIX-certified.
